GovCIO Logistics Engineer in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring fora Specialized Logistics Management Specialist toprovide logistical support to the Production Support Branch at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the AESIP Non-Standard Material process, to include electronic transaction and change updates to the AEMM via AESIP Non-Standard Material portal, maintain a functional helpdesk for AESIP Enterprise Material Discrepancy and Challenge System (EMDCS) and Enterprise Recoverable Item Management (ERIM), monitor the AESIP Non-Standard Material System and related Help Desk issues, and maintain a technical report study of all Change Request (CR) ,Trouble Requests (TR), and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) relative to catalog management and EMDCS/ERIM support.

  • Review, verify, and reconcile in-depth analyses and comparisons of DODAAC and RIC data elements for tactical and non-tactical units in trading partner systems. Data elements include Unit Identification Code (UIC), Break Bulk Point (BBP), Fiscal Station Number (FSN), Aerial Port of Debarkation (APOD), Water Port of Debarkation (WPOD), State and Country Code (SC), Direct Support System/Air Line of Communication (DSS/ALOC), Requisitioning Authenticity Code (RAC), and Type Address Code (TAC) fields. Research comparisons require Structured Query Language (SQL) queries against Oracle databases and comparisons against other trading partner systems.

  • Retrieve, evaluate, and process the daily National Guard DODAAC/RIC workload from the Customer Vendor Solution (CVS) in AESIP.

  • The contractor shall complete a review of ARNG UICs and Unit DODAACs prior to any enterprise systems fielding.

  • Confirm units are ordering against the correct DODAACs, identify new DODAAC requirements, and submit the list of valid DODAACs to ARNG G4 DODAAC Coordinator weekly.

  • Assist ARNG units with DoDAAC and Force Element (UIC) support (Creation, Realignments, Modifications, and Deletion) to also include the Southwest Border (SWB) missions and early deploying units (i.e., Contingency Readiness Force (CRF) units in the ARNG. This support includes but not limited to; DoDAAC creations, workflow using CVS 3.2, interfacing with DoDAAC Coordinators, working with PSB on DODAACs for GCSS-Army and Annual review of all DODAACs ARNG wide. Retrieve, evaluate, and process the daily National Guard DODAAC/RIC workload from the Customer Vendor Solution (CVS) in AESIP.

  • Evaluate, maintain, and update daily National Guard DODAAC/RIC transactions and computer system/files via AESIP to ensure business process requirements are incorporated and data is standardized. Ensure DODAAC/RIC assignments conform to Unit Identification Code (UIC) force structure requirements in AR/PAM 220-1.

  • Provide a monthly roll-up (report) to ARNG G4 DODAAC coordinator on of the number of SWB and CRF units that lack the proper DODAAC configuration for rapid deployment.

  • Provide continuous updates to unit structure (Force Elements) and ensure Property Book ID (PBID) structure and relationships to ARNG Units are correctly built.

  • Perform data quality, cleansing, integrity, and analysis of data and provide monthly report to ARNG G4 DODAAC Coordinator that provides statistics summary metrics report to ascertain progress in processing by received, completed, and pending within the mission objective.

  • Provide the status of the ARNG unit's force element structure in the Defense Readiness Report System-Army (DRRS-A) and GCSS-Army to confirm the unit's correct unit identification code (UIC)/derivative unit identification code (DUIC) and provide recommendations of removal.

  • Provide Logistic Support of Automated Information Systems (AIS) in response to current operational readiness need.

  • May be required to travel to remote locations and provide support on current or emerging requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

  • Clearance Required: Secret

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of six years of experience as a Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) Subject Master Expert (SME) with a wide range of customer requirements in the Army Enterprise Automated Information Systems (AIS) and operations.

  • Functional knowledge Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army) along with their interface, or applicability to Force development and sustainment.

  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing logistics activities such as: analyzing data, implementing corrective actions, tracking and monitoring internal and external processes.

  • Ability to perform AIS reviews for effectiveness and applicability, and provide recommended change requests to all systems, in accordance with (IAW) current policy.

  • Knowledge of logistics database development and supply procedures and Army property accountability procedures, including developing and documenting functional processing logic.

  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access. Broad knowledge of Army, DoD, and other Agency organizational structure, logistics policy and logistics processes.

  • Possess ability in Identifying areas of programmatic deficiency, accomplishing analyses and in making recommendations for enhancements.

  • Work requires skill in preparing procedures, information papers, briefings and reports.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $77,082.72 - USD $95,032.08 /Yr.
